This was so needed to renew my mind everyday. I see that when we talk about areas in the Christian life like prayer or evangelism, I can immediately go to feeling guilty. This article made me think of a distinction between feeling guilty and being challenged or stirred. I don't think they are the same thing. The Word of God is meant for many things (2 tim 3:16) one being to challenge me to godliness, but not to guilt me into it. Because I don't think I've ever been lead to joy in Christ by feeling guilty lol. Instead what makes me praise Jesus are phrases like this: "For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus" I guess that's what we mean when we say "motivated by grace"!. Thanks Curt for posting this article. Cool, lets worship.
